Events
In person, virtual or hybrid. Every event gets a join code and a link that opens the app with your event already loaded, even for someone who didn't have the app a minute earlier. Duplicate last year's, or cap how many people can join.
You can already count who came. Subtex counts who met. Build the roster, invite your people, write what they read in the app, and see the connections every event and team produced, all from one dashboard.
Your people use the Subtex app on iPhone and Android to build a card, swap it with a QR code and keep each connection with where and when they met.
You use the Admin Dashboard on the web to build the roster, decide what each card asks for, write what people read in the app, send the invitations and see who actually met.
Both work from the same data, so what you change in the dashboard is in the app the next time someone opens it. There's nothing to install on your side: open the dashboard and sign in with email, Google or Apple.
Create the event or team, choose the roles, and decide what each person's card and sign-up should ask.
DashboardAdd them by hand or by CSV. Every invitation carries a join link and code, and its real delivery status.
DashboardAttendees join in the app, make their card for your event, read your brief and swap cards by QR code.
iPhone & AndroidInsights and reports show who joined, who met whom, and how this event compares with your others.
DashboardConnections per attendee is the headline number. Four hundred attendees and thirty exchanges is a quiet room. Sixty attendees and three hundred exchanges is a good one. Every QR exchange in the app feeds it.
Every other chart counts. The Connection Map draws. Each person is a dot, sized by how many people they met, and people who met the same people end up near each other. At a glance you can see who bridges two groups, which corners of the room never met, and who's doing the connecting.
Registered, joined the app, made a connection, connected repeatedly, with the drop-off at each step.
Every event plotted as attendance against connections, with your own median drawn as a line. Small events can beat big ones.
Attendees, connections and connections per attendee, each compared with the period before.
Connectors grouped by how many people they reached, so one power connector and nine wallflowers don't look like ten steady networkers.
Registrations and new connections by month. A connection counts in the month two people first met, never twice.
How many of your events each person came to, and what share came back. One person on several lists counts once.
Connection rates for in-person, hybrid and virtual events, side by side.
Every event on one sortable row, marked above or below your median, linked straight to the event.
Most scans aren't tagged to an event, so an event's connections are worked out from who attended: a scan counts when both people were there. Insights says so on the page, shows how much of the data was exact, and explains why per-event numbers add up to more than the total. We'd rather explain it than have you find it in a board meeting.
The Report Builder puts every profile field, custom question and brief section on an event or team in one place. Pick the columns, filter the rows, and export one clean row per person to CSV.
Ready-made reports cover event attendees, team members, responses and brief engagement. Reports stretch to the full width of a large display, and search runs across everything, not only the page you're on.
Events for the moments people gather. Teams for the groups that last. Both share the same rosters, roles, cards and briefs, set up the way your organization works.

The standing counterpart to an event: a chapter, a department, a board, a graduating class. Each team has members, its own brief and insights, and the events it's connected to.
Events start with roles that fit who you are. A university opens with student, faculty, staff, alumni and speaker; a business with employee, customer, partner and speaker. Hide any of them, or add your own.
Questions are what people answer, and the answers land in your reports. Profile fields are what shows on their card for everyone else. Text, dropdown, checkbox or multi-value. Set organization-wide defaults once.
Ask for a card at the door. When it's on, people make their card for your event or team before they get in, so nobody on the roster is a name with nothing behind it. Per event, per team, or as a default.
Add people one at a time or import a spreadsheet. Assign roles, decide who can read which briefs, and export the roster whenever you need it.
Invited at a work address, signed up with a personal one: the same person, on your roster twice. Subtex flags it, shows the evidence, and merges the two with one click. Undo stays available for 30 days.
Let members nominate people from the app. Each nomination waits for an admin to approve it, and nobody is contacted until you say yes. Off unless you turn it on.
Press ⌘K from any page to find an event, a team, a campaign or a person. Pick someone and their roster opens with their row already found.
Every attendee and member row shows what actually happened to their invitation: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Bounced, Spam or Failed, reported back by the email provider instead of assumed. Hover for the reason. One click narrows the roster to the people it never reached.
It's the difference between “we invited 600 people” and “580 people got the email.”
Send a push notification to an event's attendees or a team's members, narrowed by a plain-language audience picker. Before you send, the composer shows how many people it will actually reach, and why the rest can't be.
Write what your people read inside the app: an overview, the agenda, who's in the room, the news. Sections start from your team's type, so an alumni association opens with Overview, Traditions, Hall of Fame, In the News, Alumni News and Online Giving. Each section holds as many posts as you need.
Ask about your events, teams, rosters, answers, briefs, campaigns and insights, and Clio answers from your own data with links to what it mentions. It knows which page you're on, so on an event, “who hasn't finished their card?” means that event.
Connect an AI assistant like Claude to your organization's Subtex data and ask it questions without opening the dashboard: “How many people connected at the Founders Dinner?” or “Who hasn't received their welcome email?”
Look up events, teams and people from Slack, turn a message into a brief entry without leaving the channel, and pull an event's insights into the conversation.
An organization can have any number of owners and never fewer than one, so you can't lock yourselves out. One account can belong to several organizations, with a different role in each.
Invitations, removals, role changes, deletions, approved requests, merges, photo removals and campaigns sent are all recorded by our servers, not the browser. Entries stay readable after the thing they describe is gone.
Being on a roster doesn't publish anyone's contact details to the room. They unlock when two people swap cards.
Whatever your organization puts in is your organization's data. We don't sell it, and we don't train models on it. It's stored in the United States and encrypted in transit and at rest.
See your plan and live usage, change cards and download invoices. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach us.
The dashboard is only half of it. Here's what the people on your roster get, included with every team plan.
Your invitation link opens the app with your event or team loaded. A join code works too.
People make a card for your event or team, separate from their personal one, answering the fields you chose.
They can see who's coming, but contact details stay locked until two people scan or accept a request to connect.
Every section's headlines are visible the moment the brief opens, newest first, one tap from headline to story.
Campaigns arrive as notifications and stay in the in-app inbox.
Every card they collect keeps where and when they met, and the full Subtex One feature set comes with your plan.
Connect, Engage and Influence all include events, teams, rosters, questions and profile fields, briefs, email delivery status, campaigns, reports, Insights, roles and the activity log, plus the app for everyone on your rosters.
Plans differ in size: how many teams, how many admins, how many AI summaries. Clio, AI assistant access and Slack come with Engage and Influence. Custom branding and integrations come with Influence.
Bring one event or one team onto Subtex, run it the way you'd run it anyway, and look at what the dashboard shows you afterward.
